heard on the news something about if we keep on being good, doing our bit, rationing our usage, etc....ok, I didnt listen attentively, lol, was busy drinking my sundowner..
I actually enjoy the olde way of life, for a change, potjie on the fire out back, big pots of water for a "cowboy splash"..candles everywhere...we have a jol at home when it happens....

Simsi-- This is how my internet works. I bought a cheap web enabled phone with data cable. Every month I buy R200 prepaid vodacom voucher and convert this amount into byte. For R189 you get 500 Mega Bytes of internet time which last me for the whole month.

Load your phone (modem)software to the PC

Connect your phone to the PC via the USB or blue tooth

When you connect to the internet, choose the cellphone option as modem.

From your cellphone you dail *111# and chose from the menu the option to buy Bytes. Vodacom then deduct the amount from your airtime

That is the sum total of my internet cost for the month. No service provider fees.

I really do believe....we all know we are in a mess with electricity shortages.....we know where the blame is... well... who should take responsibility,be fired, as some MP's have suggested, I agree totally too, wow, their bonuses have been withdrawn, yippee, it still does not solve this massive problem we have ,lol, as the MP of water and minerals "advised and suggested"..we must not bath and we must go to bed earlier .....so.....lets stop chirping about the problem and work together to make it right again...and, lets face it, we have all been wasting electricity...this is my personal point of view only...
